The DEB Masterclass for Perspective Trainers*Inside is aimed at ambitious coaches*insiders who want to specifically advance their development and position themselves in German ice hockey in the long term.

An 11- to 12-month mentoring program with a clear focus on individual development, practical application, and sustainable impact.

The Masterclass specifically closes the gap above the classic licensing training and offers a structured development program with personal support.

application process

• Online application form on the DEBWebsite until May 24, 2026 
• Participant selection is based on a scoring system (application & interview).
• The national coach W/A will decide who can be admitted after the application deadline.
• Maximum number of participants: 15 trainers 
• Hotel and travel expenses are not included in the participation fee. These are at the participant’s expense.

Scholarship

Scholarship fee: €1.500

Eligibility requirements

A scholarship can be granted if:

• the participation fee represents a significant financial burden 
• no or only limited support from the club or association is possible 
• at the same time, there is a clear professional qualification and motivation for the masterclass. 

Proof of need for funding

The financial requirements are deliberately assessed in a pragmatic and trust-based manner.

The following must be submitted:

• Brief written self-assessment of your financial situation 
• Information on: 
  • Employment situation (e.g. full-time, part-time, voluntary) 
  • Support from a club/association (if applicable) 
  • Personal contribution that can realistically be paid 
• Optional (if available):
  • Confirmation from club or association regarding the financial situation 

Important:
No sensitive detailed documentation (e.g. payslips) is required as standard – the process is based on trust and plausibility.
