The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund was founded in Krefeld in 1963. The club bears the name Deutscher Eishockey-Bund e.V. (abbreviated DEB e.V.) and is the association of members who actively pursue and promote the sport of ice hockey in the Federal Republic of Germany. The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund is a registered association and has its statutory headquarters in Füssen. The administrative headquarters is Munich.
