The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund e. V (DEB) has announced the squad of the women's national team for the Women's European Cup of Nations in Füssen Announced. From August 20th to 22nd, 2026, the team coached by Jeff MacLeod will face the teams from France, Hungary and Norway at the national training center.

MacLeod has nominated a total of 25 players (three goalkeepers, nine defenders, and 13 forwards) for the first international matches of the new season. For the tournament in Füssen, the women's national coach is relying on an experienced team: 21 of the nominated players competed at the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina. New to the coaching staff are Markus Gleich and Cody Lampl: the two assistant coaches will be working alongside the head coach for the first time in Füssen.
For the women's team, the tournament is the first assessment of their form in the new season. It is also an important step on the road to... IIHF Women's World Championship 2026, which will be held from November 6th to 16th, 2026 in Herning and Esbjerg (Denmark).

Jeff MacLeod, Head coach of the women's national team: "In July, we had a strong initial training session with 34 athletes, where the goal was to recommend themselves for a place in the team for the international matches through high levels of commitment and competition. With the 25 players we have next week, we want to build on that and are looking forward to competing against the other participating nations. We will try out a few things and put together different formations and combinations, as the tournament offers an ideal opportunity for this. In this way, we want to give all the players the chance to showcase their abilities and not be too tied to what was established at the end of the season."
