The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund e. V (DEB) has announced the squad for the women's national team for the two international matches against Switzerland on April 23 and 25, 2026. Women's national coach Jeff MacLeod effect three goalkeepers, seven defenders and 13 forwards nominated.
The team will meet on Monday together with the men's national team In Augsburg, where both teams are holding their training sessions, the women's and men's national teams will play together on both match days: The women will open against Switzerland on Thursday, April 23, at 16:30 p.m. in Kaufbeuren and on Saturday, April 25, at 13:30 p.m. in Augsburg. The men will then take to the ice in the evening against Slovakia as part of their World Championship preparation (20:00 p.m. in Kaufbeuren, 17:00 p.m. in Augsburg). The day ticket is valid for both international matches.
MacLeod is relying on a blend of experience and future potential: Twelve players from the current squad were last part of the team at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. At the same time, several players from the U18 national team are moving up to the senior squad. Among them are Tara Bach, Theresa Zielinski, and Anabel Seyrer, three players who will be making their debut with the senior national team.
For the DEBFor the women's national team, these are the final international matches of the season. The first training camp in preparation for the [tournament/event] will follow in July. IIHF Women's World Championship 2026, which will take place in Denmark from November 6th to 16th, 2026.
