The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) invites as part of the NHL Hockey Day 2026 together with the National Hockey League and the NHL Coaches' Association to an international Online Coaching Clinic The event is aimed at coaches from all over Germany and offers the opportunity to gain insights into modern training and coaching approaches from North American professional ice hockey.
The online event will take place on Saturday March 14, 2026, instead and begins at 13.45 a.m. (CET). To kick things off, two detailed coaching videos from the NHL/NHLCA series will be presented, covering current topics from the practice of professional ice hockey coaching.
The first video presents Steve Briere the unit “The Mental Game: Scoring Goals and Stopping Pucks”. This will be followed by a presentation by Kevin Dineen with the title “Attacking with Speed: Generating Offense through Transition Play”.
Following the video sessions, at 16 pm. a message Live Q&A session, where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas directly with an experienced NHL coach. A special guest will be Dustin Schwartz, former goalkeeping coach of the Edmonton Oilers, will participate in the discussion and provide insights into his work at the highest international level.
With the Coaching Clinic, the DEBThe NHL and the NHL Coaches' Association promote international knowledge exchange and provide coaches with valuable insights for their daily work on the ice. The direct exchange with an experienced NHL coach offers participants a unique opportunity to ask practical questions and benefit from the experience of the world's best ice hockey league.

NHL Hockey Day in Düsseldorf
The DEB We would like to draw your attention to a special event. On Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th, 2026, the NHL Hockey Day will take place in Düsseldorf.
