After three intense years, the Deutschland Cup From Landshut. What began in 2023 has developed into a success story that has brought important moments to German ice hockey. During this time, it has been possible to celebrate sporting achievements, create a comprehensive live experience for all visitors, and simultaneously achieve a wide reach – both nationally and internationally.
The numbers speak for themselves: In all three years, over 20.000 spectators were welcomed on site. In 2025, 21.076 attended. Fans into the VR-Bank Landshut Arena, surpassing the strong previous years with 20.881 visitors (2023) and 20.012 spectators (2024). These consistently high figures not only underscore the popularity of the Deutschland Cup, but also the special connection between the DEB and the Landshut location.
From a sporting perspective, Landshut was of paramount importance for both German national teams. The men won the title in 2023, while the women triumphed in 2024. In 2025, the DEBTeams for the perfect finish: Both women's and men's teams tackled the Deutschland Cup up. This success is all the more remarkable as both teams will be embarking on their joint journey to the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan next February.

The DEB set with the Deutschland Cup In Landshut, the tournament sent an important signal for top-level sport, as it was the first time an internationally renowned tournament was held simultaneously with both the women's and men's national teams. With the support of the DEB-Office teams, the city of Landshut, des EV Landshut and numerous volunteers, it was possible to welcome a total of eight national teams, in addition to the many thousands of ice hockey fans, and to provide them with the best possible support during the days on site. Deutschland Cup 2023 was also a meeting due to the new format. The TV experience on MagentaSport covered the entire tournament for over three years, ensuring that the excitement extended beyond the arena and into living rooms at home. The celebratory images on the ice and the exclusive moments from the locker rooms of both teams provided viewers at home with extraordinary live insights, which the DEB will continue to partner with MagentaSport in the future.
