The German women's national teamt occurs at Deutschland Cup (November 5-9, 2025) in Landshut with 23 players. Women's national coach Jeff MacLeod announced the squad in today's live broadcast of the PENNY DEL game between ERC Ingolstadt and the Adler Mannheim known on MagentaSport.
The DEB-Selection is led by a proven core around captain Daria Gleissner. Seventeen of the 23 nominated players were in the squad for this year's World Championship in the Czech Republic, with debutants Aileena Dopheide and Mathilda Heine making their first senior international appearances. Several of the national team players currently playing at the US college level (Nina Christof, Lilli and Luisa Welcke) are also missing. Katarina Jobst-Smith and Jule Schiefer are also missing due to injury.
DEB-Women go into the Deutschland Cup
The women's team will travel to Landshut on Monday, November 3, 2025, to prepare for the upcoming tournament. Some of our core players will not be available, partly due to injury. We hope that these important players will be fit again in time for the upcoming challenges. This, in turn, gives some players the chance to show themselves on the international stage and integrate into the team structures, so that they can also recommend themselves for the Olympics.
