The U20 national team will attend a course on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Federal base in Füssen In addition to various training sessions and meetings, the team around U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter also three international matches against Finnish Young Talent Selection The first of the matches will take place on Thursday, November 6th at 17 p.m. – admission to the stadium is free.
The U20 men will be 24 players to Ostallgäu – 13 strikers, eight defenders and three goalkeepers. Compared to the international matches in July and August 2025 in Kassel, there are twelve changes in the squad of the DEBSelection. Players currently active in North American leagues will not be present at the training course in Füssen.
Besides Tobias Abstreiter form Patrick Strauch (assistant coach), Jochen Molling (assistant coach), Luca Endres (goalkeeper coach) and Christian Bachmann (athletic trainer) the coaching staff for the event in Füssen.
U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter: "Our current roster differs in some areas from the team we selected for the season opener in Kassel – this gives other players another chance to show their worth and gain valuable match practice. The current selection does not constitute a pre-determination for the World Championship. There are still spots open – performances will ultimately be the deciding factor. We want to use the three games against Finland both to scout and evaluate the players' current form and to work on elements that could be crucial for the World Championship – especially with regard to playing on smaller ice. We want to see who can hold their own at the international level and which players can bring quality and consistency to the team."
