Our connection to Olympia
As an ice hockey family, we know from our own experience how special the Olympic Games are. Just in February 2025, we witnessed the beaming faces and immense joy of our athletes during our women's national team's successful Olympic qualification in Bremerhaven – the mere prospect of being there triggers emotions and motivation that go far beyond the normal day-to-day competition. The anticipation and momentum surrounding the upcoming Olympic Games in February 2026, where the DEB For the first time in 20 years, women and men are competing for Team Germany, showing us every day what unique appeal emanates from such a top international event – both for elite sport and for grassroots sport.

The road to the Olympics in Germany
Four German regions have expressed their interest in hosting Olympic and ParaOlympic Games: Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Rhine-Ruhr. The final decision on which city or region will represent Germany will be made by an Extraordinary General Meeting of the German Sports Federation (DOSB) in autumn 2026.
Munich would like to work together with the Free State Bayern for the Olympic and ParaThe first step is the referendum on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
The DEB says YES to the Olympic Games in Germany and calls on all Munich residents to vote for the bid on October 26. Use your vote for sport, for the community, and for an Olympic future in Germany.
