The teams of the ECDC Memmingen Indians, ERC Ingolstadt, HK Budapest and Eisbären Berlin at the EWHL Euro Cup 2025, hosted by the European Women's Hockey League (EWHL). All four blossom-ic DFEL teams achieved such high placings in the group stage that the concluding Final Four tournament (mid-October 2025) will be contested exclusively by teams from the first German women's ice hockey league.
DEB-Women's Competitive Sports Officer Ronja Jenike: "The start of the blossom-ic DFEL season is just around the corner – and the conditions could hardly be more exciting. The participating teams are at a very similar level of performance this year, which means that a balanced and open season can be expected right up to the end. Fans can therefore look forward to close matches and a league on equal terms. This constellation offers enormous advantages, especially during the Olympic season: It offers the players a challenging competitive environment and thus a valuable benchmark on the road to the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan – at the same time, it is an important stimulus for the ongoing sporting development and professionalization of the league in general."
