Within the International Trade Fair for Open Space, Sport and Exercise (FSB) organized by the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) to use together with the Ice Hockey Association NRW (EHV NRW eV), is International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) as the German Ice Skating Union eV (DEU) a top-class Lecture series on Topic: “Sustainable ice rinks: CO2-neutral, economical and needs-based for both renovations and new construction.”
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 10:00 to 16:30 at the Koelnmesse in the Congresscentrum (CC) East, 4th floor.
Already for the fifth time direct the DEB The NRW Ice Hockey Association and the North Rhine-Westphalia Ice Hockey Association are jointly organizing the event – this year again with the active support of the IAKS and the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEU). The event focuses on the importance of environmentally conscious and energy-efficient infrastructure that minimizes the ecological footprint of ice sports while ensuring the highest standards for players and visitors.
The eventg is specifically aimed at associations, clubs, municipalities, sports facility operators, and specialist companies interested in future-oriented and sustainable planning and maintenance of ice sports facilities. During the event, there will be an opportunity to exchange ideas with experts, practitioners, and representatives from the ice sports industry and to jointly discuss ways to implement sustainable concepts.
