The women’s national team is the first of the A teams of the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) into the new 2025/2026 season. The team led by women's national coach Jeff MacLeod will meet at the national base in Füssen on Monday, August 25, 2025. After three scheduled ice sessions and further meetings, the team will travel to Albertville, France, on Wednesday, August 27 – where the DEBThe women's national team will compete in a four-nation tournament, playing three matches in three days. The opening match against Japan is scheduled for Thursday. The following day, the German team will face Hungary before taking to the ice on Saturday to close the tournament against the hosts from France.
Jeff MacLeod and his coaching team have nominated 25 players for the season opener in France – three goalkeepers, eight defenders, and 14 strikers are in the German squad. In addition to women's national team coach Jeff MacLeod, Max Deichstetter (assistant coach), Sascha Rogoza (goalkeeping coach), and Jennifer Harss (athletics), the German Armed Forces coach, complete the coaching team.
