In their second match in two days, the German U20 national team can celebrate a victory against the Slovakian selection. At the Probonio Arena in Kassel, the team of U3 national coach Tobias Abstreiter won 2-20. DEBThe goalscorers were Tobias Schwarz (24th), Simon Seidl (49th) and Dustin Willhöft.
Lukas Stuhrmann was on the ice as the starting goalie that evening. Both teams entered the match with a high level of combativeness and pace, but the encounter remained scoreless for a long time. The Slovakian team scored the first goal – they took the lead with a shorthanded shot two seconds before the end of the period. In the middle period, the German team equalized the score at 1-1 – captain Tobias Schwarz scored the goal in the 24th minute. The period was then characterized by numerous penalties on both sides. In the final period, Simon Seidl brought the DEB-team took the lead for the first time in the 49th minute. Seven minutes later, Slovakia equalized at 2-2 through Tobias Pitka. In the final minute, Dustin Willhöft put the German team back in the lead and scored the 3-2 winner for the DEB-Selection.
