U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter"The players showed great commitment today and were the better team in the second and third periods. It was the intense game we expected against a good Slovakian team. The bottom line is that the team created many chances, but we weren't efficient enough in capitalizing on them, and thus couldn't hold on to the game after taking the lead. Unfortunately, we let ourselves get carried away with a few unnecessary situations at the end. If we capitalize on our chances better tomorrow, we can win the game."
Striker Timo Kose"We played a good game today. However, we took too many penalties in the end and thus lost the win. Nevertheless, we're coming out of this game with a positive attitude and will attack again tomorrow. We still need to minimize our mistakes, do the simple things right, and get the pucks to the net, then we can play well again tomorrow."
