Oberliga Nord: New structure with intermediate round
The Oberliga Nord Eleven teams will compete. The main round will also begin on September 19, 2025, but with 44 matchdays until January 30, 2026. After that, there will be a new intermediate round with two groups:
Group 1 (places 1 – 5): Single round, all five teams are qualified for the playoffs and fight for home advantage.
Group 2 (places 6 – 11): Single round, the top three secure the remaining playoff spots.
This structure eliminates the pre-playoffs in the North.
A highlight worth mentioning in the Oberliga Nord: On October 25, 2025, the Saale Bulls Halle will celebrate the opening of their new home stadium – with a top game against the Hannover Indians.
Playoffs start in March 2026: Title race promises high tension
