The German team will meet in Kassel early Monday afternoon, with the first ice session scheduled for that evening at the Nordhessen Arena. Three more ice training sessions and team meetings are planned for Tuesday and Wednesday, before the first of the two international matches against Slovakia takes place on Thursday evening.
Compared to the summer training camp in Füssen, the squad has been changed by five players, so that the team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter will travel to Kassel with 23 athletes - two goalkeepers, eight defenders and 13 strikers.
In addition to Tobias Abstreiter, Patrick Strauch (assistant coach), Jochen Molling (assistant coach), Luca Endres (goalkeeper coach) and Christian Bachmann (athletics coach) form the coaching staff for the U20 event in Kassel.
