The members of the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) unanimously approved an amendment to the statutes and elected a new supervisory board this Saturday. This implemented the resolutions passed at the general meeting on July 13, 2024, as part of the association's structural reform. At the event in Ingolstadt, six supervisory board members were appointed, who convened for their first constitutive meeting immediately after the conclusion of the extraordinary general meeting.
The meeting was DEBPresident Dr. Peter Merten opened the meeting, confirming the voting rights and representation rights as well as the quorum of the members present. Shortly thereafter, the former DEBIIHF President and current IIHF Council member Franz Reindl took the floor and addressed all participants with a welcoming speech. The next item on the agenda was the presentation of the various amendments to the statutes and regulations that were up for vote. All amendments proposed by the Executive Board were approved with the required majorities.
New Supervisory Board is elected unanimously
One of the main points of the convening of the extraordinary general meeting was the election of the members required by the new version of the statutes. Supervisory board membersThe candidates presented themselves to the general meeting in short speeches before they stood for election. Unanimously following people elected for an initial term of three years:
- Peter Merten (Chairman of the Supervisory Board, nominated by the DEB-Leagues)
- Jürgen Arnold (nominated by the DEL)
- Hauke Hasselbring (nominated by the DEL)
- Frank Kottmann (nominated by the DEL2)
- Frank Butz (nominated by the regional associations)
- Lutz Michel (nominated by the regional associations)

Board member Marc Hindelang bids farewell
Following the election of the Supervisory Board, Executive Committee member Marc Hindelang, who had successfully served for eleven years, was bid farewell. Hindelang outlined the key points of his many years of service and thanked everyone present for their trusting cooperation. The Supervisory Board's inaugural meeting took place in Ingolstadt in the afternoon following the conclusion of the General Meeting.
