The German men's national team NHL striker Tim Stützle (Ottawa Senators) is expected in Denmark. The 23-year-old will further strengthen the national team at the 2025 World Cup. In recent days, all formalities and clearances have been clarified, so nothing stands in the way of his second participation in a men's World Cup. Stützle last played in 2022. DEB-squad at the World Cup in Finland. Tim Stützle will arrive in Herning this weekend and will therefore not be used in the first two World Cup matches.

Due to the release of the NHL striker, there will be a change in the squad before the start of the tournament: Striker Marcel Noebels will no longer be part of the current DEBsquad for the 2025 World Cup.

We looked at the roles within our team and have now made this decision. We communicated this to the team this evening and sought an open discussion with Marcel.
