MagentaSport starts the content series #IceHockeyGermany. The first episode of the documentary series premieres this Sunday at 20 p.m.: It's all about the NHL journey of DEBnational coach Harold Kreis and DEB-Sports Director Christian Künast, who was accompanied exclusively by the MagentaSport team.
Close and authentic: Magenta TV and MagentaSport provide sports fans with a unique insight into the world of ice hockey with an entire content series. The comprehensive project entitled #EishockeyDeutschland, which is being carried out by MagentaSport in cooperation with the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) is planned until the 2027 World Cup at home. The individual episodes will be broadcast on all MagentaTV and MagentaSport platforms.
In episode one, national coach Harold Kreis and sporting director Christian Künast are accompanied on their NHL journey in early 2025 – the two meet German stars Leon Draisaitl, Moritz Seider, Tim Stützle, Nico Sturm, and JJ Peterka. A personal portrait of the NHL stars, as well as the special "chemistry" between Kreis and Künast, as well as the popularity and stature of ice hockey and the players in Canada and the USA, are explored.
Episode one of the film series #EishockeyDeutschland will be shown on Sunday, May 4, from 20 p.m. following the final World Cup test between Germany and the USA (live and free from 16.45 p.m.) and will then be available on all platforms of Magenta TV and MagentaSport .
Communication is always good, so speak DEBSporting Director Künast and national coach Kreis are meeting with the players, managers, coaches, and agents. Christian Künast and Harold Kreis are traveling through four cities in two countries, speaking with the five NHL players over twelve days. Nico Sturm sees this as a positive: "It's obviously a sign of appreciation. They also know how important the players who play in the NHL are." They are, after all, the "difference makers."

The next episode will follow the German team at the World Championships in Denmark and Sweden starting May 9.
