The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund e. V (DEB) mourns Rainer GossmannFrom 1995 to 2002 he was President of the DEB and played a decisive role in the development of German ice hockey during this time. Before that, he had already worked for the Düsseldorfer EG committed – as a player, official and president.
Gossmann was one of the most important figures in the 90-year history of the DEG and remained closely connected to German ice hockey until his old age. He passed away at the age of 83, as the Düsseldorfer EG on Tuesday afternoon. With his tireless commitment, passion, and vision, he had a lasting impact on the development of our sport. His achievements extend far beyond his term in office and will never be forgotten.
Rainer Gossmann was not only a clever strategist, but also a person who understood and lived the heart of ice hockey. Our condolences go out to his family, his friends, and all those close to him. DEB will always keep an honorable memory of him.
