The DEB-Women have played their second international match in two days on Friday afternoon against Norway witht 4:2 (1:1, 2:0, 1:1) and thus successfully took revenge for the penalty defeat on Thursday. As on the previous evening, a close match developed at first, in which today Emily Nix (2), Luisa Welcke and Carina Strobel the gates for the DEBteam scored.
After 69 seconds the German women initially a wake-up call. Norway's Gundersen took advantage of an inaccuracy in the German build-up and passed over the boards to Tea Løkke Nyberg, who scored into the open goal. But the visitors' lead only lasted a short time. After winning an offensive face-off in the fifth minute, Emily Nix broke through on the left side and was able to score a free shot to make it 1:1. The team of women's national coach Jeff MacLeod survived the first and only power play of the period without conceding a goal, and went into the break with the score tied.
Im second section Both teams acted in a disciplined manner, as they had in the first third, and allowed few big chances. The game remained balanced until halftime. The guests from Norway did not manage to score in the second power play either, although they did narrowly miss the lead once. Emily Nix then scored for the German team with her second goal, when she was able to shoot Franzsika Feldmeier's rebound into the open goal (30th minute). The German power play was more efficient than that of the guests: In the 35th minute, Luisa Welcke extended the lead to 3:1 while standing free in the slot.
With this lead, the final section, in which the German women continued to control the game. The fourth goal was scored by DEBteam then in the second power play of the period: Carina Strobel used the free space and increased the score to 4:1 (56th). In return, the Norwegians shortened the lead again through Emilie Kruse, who used a rebound to make the final score 4:2 (58th).
The next appearance of the DEB-Women will be the preparatory measures in February before Jeff MacLeod’s team will compete in Bremerhaven for the Olympic qualification will go.

It was important to be together again this week because our next task is very important for all of us. We would also like to thank the Norwegians who came to Füssen and offered us strong competition in the two games."
Goalkeeper Sandra Abstreiter: "It was obviously important for us as a team to get together again before the Olympic qualification. It was particularly good to work together on our system again and to apply it in the two games. Although we played well yesterday, we didn't pull it off optimally. Today we paid even more attention to the details, played faster and took better shots. That's how we achieved success today and ended the week ideally."
