Women's national coach Jeff MacLeod: “The first two days in Landshut went really well. It is nice to have the team together again. We gave a lot of input in the two training sessions and the players were very committed and very willing to learn. There is also a positive excitement in the team, before the Fans the hockey city of Landshut. It's a great experience that everyone is looking forward to. We will make sure that we are as prepared as possible for the first game tomorrow. And we will fight as hard as we can for 60 minutes."
Captain Daria Gleißner: "We feel very comfortable in Landshut and are looking forward to the tournament finally starting. Our first session on the ice here was a kind of bonding, as we haven't been on the ice together for a while. But then we had two really good, intensive training sessions and are already looking forward to playing in front of a great crowd. We want to play well from the start and of course get our first win straight away."
Striker Laura Kluge: "We are really looking forward to the tournament. Compared to last year, this time we already know what to expect. We are happy to be taking part again this year. We obviously notice that the media attention is much, much greater than at all the other tournaments we usually play. It is incredibly nice to be in the spotlight and to have such a stage. Of course, it is also about playing our game and building up our self-confidence for the Olympic qualification."
men's national coach Harold Kreis: "I have the impression that the boys have really enjoyed their trip. The first training session also had a good pace, fighting spirit and all in all, all the players made a good impression. Tomorrow we will mainly train five-on-five, and then when we get to the opening match against Denmark, the special teams will be on the agenda. Timing and coordination in the attack lines will also play a big role.
striker Patrick Hager: “It is always fun to come to the national team. There are a lot of new faces for me after I have not been part of the team for a while. We have had a good training session today and are now preparing for the Deutschland Cup This is my first time with Harry and his staff, so I have to try to internalize the system as quickly as possible. We want to give our best performance in the tournament and ideally win in the end."
Defender Leon Gawanke: "It was nice to see everyone again today. It's been a long time since I was there. The first training went well, we all got into it quite well.
