Successful start to the new season for the women's national team: The team of national coach Jeff MacLeod achieved its first victory at the 4-Nations Tournament in Füssen against the French selection.
The first goal of the match was scored in the 25th minute. Thanks to striker Laura Kluge, Germany took the lead for the first time. A little later, Nicola Hadraschek-Eisenschmid (28th) increased the lead on the scoreboard. This led to an exciting match in which the German team held the upper hand until the final whistle. Only in the last part of the match did the French manage to score a goal through Chloé Aurard (42nd). Thus, the opening match ended 2:1 in favor of Germany. In the goal of the DEBSandra Abstreiter received her first assignment of the new season this Thursday afternoon.
