The start of the season is also imminent for the German women's national team. Women's national coach Jeff MacLeod has invited his team to an eight-day training course in Füssen. A 28-strong squad will initially complete various training sessions and meetings here from Saturday, August 24, 2024, before 22 players then take part in the domestic 4-nation tournament. The opponents come from France, Slovakia and Hungary. The German team will play its opening match against the French on Thursday, August 29 at 16 p.m. The women have a tight tournament schedule - the game against Slovakia is already on the program on Friday, and less than 24 hours later they will take to the ice for the final game against the Hungarians.
In addition to women's national coach Jeff MacLeod, Sascha Rogoza (goalkeeper coach) and Jennifer Harss (athletics coach) complete the coaching team. Sebastian Jones (U18 women's national coach), Markus Gleich (assistant coach) and Max Deichstetter (assistant coach) will each take turns supporting the team on site.
