The German U20 national team will start its first preparatory course in Füssen tomorrow, Wednesday, July 24. This measure marks the beginning of the season preparations and the path to the Junior World Championship, which will take place at the turn of the year in Ottawa, Canada (December 26.12.2024, 05.01.2025 to January XNUMX, XNUMX). DEBThe team will start in the afternoon with an initial performance diagnostic of the In:Prove project, which is funded by the Federal Institute of Sports Science (BISp), before heading out onto the ice of the Federal Performance Center in Ostallgäu for a total of eleven training sessions over the next few days.
A week later, on July 31, the team will travel to Slovakia to face the hosts in two friendly matches. The matches will take place in Piestany on August 1 at 17 p.m. and August 2 at 11 a.m.
The squad for this course is made up of players from the last U20 World Championship in Sweden as well as a new generation, most of whom were able to gain valuable international experience at the last U18 World Championship Division I in Denmark and also managed to get promoted back to the top division.
