In the last few days and weeks, our DEB-Young Talent and women's national teams, the entry test of performance diagnostics is on the program. Participation is a squad criterion and is mandatory for every player. The tests were carried out nationwide at four cooperating Olympic training centers (Heidelberg, Cologne, Berlin, Munich).
Bundeswehr trainer Jennifer Harss: "We carry out performance diagnostics twice a year - the so-called entry test and the exit test. The entry test is always carried out at the beginning of summer training at the end of May or beginning of June, and the exit test takes place in September, shortly before the start of the season. At these appointments, we take a close look at the current performance level of our athletes and how they have developed. The performance diagnostics include appropriate tests in the areas of sprinting, jumping, strength and endurance."
In addition, all athletes receive a basic sports medical examination by examination centers certified by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), which is mandatory for all athletes as part of the DOSB squad status. The evaluation of all results forms the basis for the DEB-National coaches, one of the foundations for the development of training plans.
