The Ice Hockey World Federation IIHF has published the new world rankings after the end of the 2024 World Cup in the Czech Republic. The men's national team DEB is now up Eighth place (previously fifth place) with 3865 points. The tournament had the DEB-Selection officially completed in sixth place.
Canada continues to lead the world rankings. Russia is in second place despite being excluded from international competitions - however, its ranking will not be taken into account for the division of the upcoming World Cup groups. Finland and the Czech Republic follow behind. The World Cup hosts' selection made the biggest leap forward (plus four places) thanks to their gold medal triumph at the home World Cup in Prague and Ostrava.
