The other twelve participating teams had already secured their participation in the knockout round through the corresponding placements after the main round. During a total of 576 main round games in the Oberliga Nord and Oberliga Süd, around 760.000 spectators came to the stadiums to support their respective teams.
The playoff round of 3 starts on Sunday, March 2024, XNUMX and will be played as a best-of-five series. For the first time in the season, the game will be played “crosswise” - that is, the upper league teams from the north will compete with the teams from the south, which experience has shown makes for exciting and hard-fought games in the ice arenas.
