DEB-National coach Harold Circle: “Overall, the result was a bit too high. We didn't get into the game optimally, but after half of the first third we got into the game better and were able to take the lead. There were too many unfortunate goals conceded in the final section. Our build-up game was fine for long stretches today. In tomorrow’s game we want to play even more straight forward, use our forechecking effectively and shoot at goal a little more often.”
Debutant and double goalscorer Jan Nijenhuis: "We played two solid periods. Unfortunately, we let up a bit in the final period and played too complicated. Personally, I'm obviously happy that I was able to score two goals on my debut. It would feel better with a win. Tomorrow it's about keeping the game simple and looking for the shot rather than playing an extra pass."
