The U18 national team was narrowly defeated by the Slovakian U19 team 5:6. After the team led by U18 national coach André Rankel was in the lead for a long time, it wasn't enough to win in the end. The goal scorers on the German side were Felix Kerbel (12th), 2x Lenny Boos (14th/46th) and 2x Tobias Schwarz (35th/49th).

U18 honorary national coach André Rankel: "For us today was an important test with a view to the World Cup in April - to bring the same intensity and focus in two games, in two days. We played a little too complicated in the first 40 minutes and received too many penalties as a result. In the last third we showed character and played our hockey and were rewarded for our work."

The U16 young talent selection can look forward to a clear 6-0 win against France. Lukas Greil scores a hat trick. The goal scorers on the German side were Max Penkin (12th), Lukas Greil (13th/22nd/26th), Vyacheslav Permitin (36th) and Maximilian Strauß (57th).
U16 national coach Robin Beckers: "Today we played efficiently and deserved to win. We were simply better and smarter than France in the final stages. Nevertheless, the French demanded a lot from us and we definitely need to improve our passing and build-up play in the coming games. We have already shown some good approaches, but we still made too many turnovers."

This morning the U19 team took the bus to Switzerland. After arrival and a short snack, the first ice training session was on the agenda under the direction of the coaching team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter. On Wednesday afternoon (15 p.m.) the team starts the 5-nation tournament with the game against the Czech Republic.
