The German U18 women's national team had to admit defeat in their placement game at the 2024 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship in Switzerland. The team led by women's national coach Jeff MacLeod lost to the hosts by a narrow margin of 1:2. The goalscorer on the German side was Anna Rose in the 29th minute of the game.
