Yesterday, Friday, the second U20 training session of this season ended, which also included two international matches against Slovakia's young talent selection. The team led by U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter was able to record a clear victory and a narrow defeat.
In the first game, the U20 national team had to admit defeat 6:7 in the penalty shootout. The goal scorers for the German team were Moritz Elias, Luca Hauf, Veit Oswald, Edwin Tropmann and Roman Kechter.
In the following game, the German selection acted more focused and was able to implement the coaching team's instructions better. The U20 team was able to convert the resulting dominance into a clear 9-0 victory. Julian Lutz, Ralf Rollinger, Leon Sivic, Philipp Krening, Eric Hördler and Maksim Anton were the goal scorers DEB.
U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter: “In the first game we made life a bit difficult for ourselves. We took a few penalties and sometimes made wrong decisions with the disc. But the boys showed good morale and were able to fight back despite being way behind. In the second game we were very disciplined in our style of play, created a lot of chances to score and were able to put in a good performance from all parts of the team. All in all, the team was able to implement a lot of what we had planned before the games. A big compliment to the boys. We can build on this achievement and approach the upcoming tasks positively.”
The next meeting of the U20 national team will take place again in early November as part of a two-nation tournament.
