For the A women, this will be the first official course under the new women's national coach Jeff MacLeod. In addition to the ice and athletic units, joint team activities are also planned for the summer program.
And the German U18 women's national team also has an exciting and busy season ahead of them after the successful conclusion of last season with promotion to the top division. During the measure next week, the Young Talent national players led by U18 women's national coach Franziska Busch will receive professional training in the area of sports-appropriate nutrition in addition to training sessions on the ice.
Women's national coach Jeff MacLeod: “We are very much looking forward to the first joint measure. Evaluating individual players and team structure will be a large part of our summer as we want to see the athletes in action both on and off the ice. We also want to teach strategies and work on tactical parts of the game. Through meetings, conversations with players and team building activities, we will work together to refine our annual plan and goals so that we challenge ourselves to be successful throughout the year.”
U18 women’s national coach Franziska Busch: “The start of the ice season will be very intense. In addition to the ice training and the athletic units, we also have a nutritionist on site who, in addition to theory units, also does various practical units with the players, for example preparing healthy, sports-friendly snacks. We will also work with the technical trainer training and focus on skills in these units. In team training, the focus will be on integrating new players from the U16, developing ourselves as a team and starting our journey into the season together.”
