The Starbulls Rosenheim can look forward to the championship title for the 2022/23 league season and the associated promotion to the DEL2. With a 3-1 win in the best-of-five final series, the team from Rosenheim was able to beat them early Blue Devils Weiden push through.
The Starbulls achieved the decisive victory in front of their home crowd in game four of the finals. The hosts from Rosenheim won the game 2-1 in overtime. In a pure duel between two Oberliga Süd-Teams had to admit defeat to the main round champions from Weiden, the relay runner-up.
After the DEL2 relegation at the end of the 2016/17 season, they are Starbulls Rosenheim After six years of abstinence, now back in the second highest German ice hockey league.
