After two ice sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday in Landshut, the national team will travel to Trencin (Slovakia) on Thursday. The next two international matches in preparation for the World Cup are scheduled for Friday (17:30 p.m. in Zilina) and Saturday (14:30 p.m. in Trencin).
National coach Harold Kreis: “We noticed in the training sessions that the team is coming together better. The units were correspondingly intensive and committed. That's what we want to take with us into the games against Slovakia. We talked about a few tactical things and also the work in the defensive zone again. We feel that the boys want to implement that in the two games.”
Defender Dominik Bittner was added in phase three: "It was a joyful reception, the team gave Dustin and me a warm welcome as usual. Generally, the mood in the dressing room is very good. In these preparation phases, it is important to continue to grow together as a team and to consolidate our game system in order to go into the World Cup well prepared. I hope I can do my part after a very successful season for us at the club."
Striker Daniel Fischbuch: “It's a matter of following through with our system and doing the famous little things right and paying attention to them. We want to show an improvement compared to the games against Austria, also when it comes to the special teams.”
Striker Marcel Noebels: “We have worked harder on the things that need to be improved. We have also clearly decided to get better from game to game and we want to show that on the ice. Because we don't have too much time left until the start of the World Cup. The two games in Slovakia and also the last preparation game against the USA will certainly be a clear foretaste of what awaits us at the World Cup.”
A national player will not be on board: Striker Alexander Karachun will not take part in the trip as a precautionary measure due to an injury and will be out of further World Cup preparations. The DEB wishes you a good and speedy recovery.
The way food is Slovakia is in the hot phase of preparation for the World Cup. The team of Head coach Craig Ramsay has like that DEB-Selection has played four games so far.
