After the first international match in preparation for the World Cup yesterday, Thursday evening, Friday was all about preparing for the second match against the Czech Republic for the national team. In addition to a team meeting with video analysis and regeneration, an ice session was on the agenda at lunchtime. It hits late Saturday afternoon DEB-Selection again for the third place in the 2022 World Cup. The game starts at 17 p.m. in the Frankfurt ice rink.

Assistant coach Alexander Sulzer: "We briefly went through yesterday's game and looked at what was good and what could be improved. We also adjusted one or two things in training on the ice in terms of the structure, forechecking and power play and shorthanded play. It is also important that the boys recover well. We want to play in our structure from the start tomorrow and move well. And not make our game too complicated, but keep it simple for 60 minutes, no matter what happens."
Defender Julius Karrer: “One focus today was to loosen up the legs again. Tomorrow the clocks will be set to zero and we want to give it full throttle right from the start. There are some little things and adjustments that we want to make better. Yesterday we showed some good ice hockey at times and in the end it was perhaps a bit too high. I think we'll take a lot from this and want to make it positive tomorrow.
Striker Parker Tuomie: “We want to change certain things in the defensive zone and do them better. In general, we started the game well and played with a lot of energy. Our speed and forechecking were also good. That’s exactly what we want to build on tomorrow and improve a few things in our game.”
