During an on-site visit, Harold Kreis and team manager Horst Fuchs get an idea of the conditions on site. This includes, among other things, a visit to the team hotel and a tour of the dressing room areas for the German team in the Nokia Arena. The multifunctional arena, which has a capacity of 13.500 spectators, was opened in December 2021 and was already the World Cup venue last year.
On Monday, April 10, 2023, the men's national team will start preparing for the World Cup. This is divided into four phases until departure to Tampere on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The World Cup preparations begin at the start DEB-Selection in Frankfurt and will complete the first training sessions on and off the ice there.
The first two international matches of the World Cup preparations against the Czech Republic are also scheduled: on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Kassel (game starts at 19:30 p.m.) and on Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Frankfurt (game starts at 17:00 p.m ).
