The club management of the Hockey Club Landsberg Riverkings e. V. announced today, Monday, March 6, 2023, that it would be withdrawing from the Oberliga Süd wanting to withdraw and not taking part in the planned playdowns against EHC Klostersee. Those responsible for the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) have agreed to the request within the framework of the implementing regulations adopted.
Impact on the current season Oberliga Süd
- The Landsberg Riverkings are placed last in the table and are therefore relegated to the regional association.
- Since the club has played the main round to the end, all results remain in the ranking.
- EHC Klostersee, who completed the main round behind Landsberg Riverkings, moves up to 12th place in the table.
- The playdowns against EHC Klostersee are canceled. The EHC will therefore remain in the next season Oberliga Süd.
The HC Landsberg Riverkings will, subject to the approval of the Bavarian Ice Sports Association, play its games in the coming season Bayernplay the league.
The DEB regrets the departure of HC Landsberg Riverkings from the Oberliga Süd and wishes the club all the best for the future.
