The women of the ECDC Memmingen Indians are the new main round champions of the German Women's Ice Hockey League (DFEL) in the 19/2022 season with 23 wins and only one defeat.
The DFEL's top scorer was the American Theresa Knutson (ECDC Memmingen Indians) with 14 goals and 18 assists. Emma Schweiger (ECDC Memmingen Indians) also secured itself with a Fangrate of 97,5% and an average goals conceded of 0,42 goals per game won the title of the best goalkeeper in the league.
In the playoffs starting this weekend (February 25th and 26th, 2023), Memmingen has home advantage in the semifinals against Planegg. This first best-of-five series pairing begins on Saturday at 16:45 p.m. Ingolstadt will face Mannheim at home in the second semi-final. While Memmingen and Planegg play the games with alternating home advantage, due to the distance, Ingolstadt will first play at home against Mannheim twice (Saturday 19:15 p.m. and Sunday 13:15 p.m.) and then travel to Mannheim for the third game and a possible fourth meeting.
The final begins on March 11, 2023. The champions will then be determined by March 25, 2023 at the latest. The placement round for places 5-6 will be canceled after consultation with the clubs.
