Voices about the game
U18 national coach Franziska Busch: "We started the game very well and had more of the game at the beginning. Unfortunately, a goal while we were shorthanded took the momentum away from us. Overall, we let the Swiss score too easily. Towards the end, the team showed another reaction, but it was too late to turn the result around."
Women's national coach Thomas Schädler (as assistant trainer on site): “After more than two years without an international highlight, we determined our current position at this World Cup. We have a lot of work and big tasks ahead of us. We can only move forward if everyone involved (DEB, regional associations, leagues and clubs) pull together and have the will to further develop women’s ice hockey.”
