Ice Hockey-Fans have a great month ahead of them in terms of television. In addition to the playoffs in the PENNY DEL, the DEL2 and the upper leagues, all games of national coach Toni Söderholm's national team can be followed live on TV, most of them on free TV.
SPORT1 accompanies this DEBteam is preparing and is showing four of the seven games against the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Slovakia and Austria live on free TV and in the 24/7 live stream on SPORT1.de and in the SPORT1 apps.
MagentaSport will broadcast ALL of the German national ice hockey team's preparatory games in the run-up to the World Cup live. The games against the Czech Republic in Chomutov on April 14th and 15th will kick off. After that, there are five more games on the program in preparation until May 8th.

SPORT13 is also in the thick of things as usual at the Ice Hockey World Championship, which will be held in Helsinki and Tampere from May 29 to May 1: All 64 World Championship games can be seen live on the SPORT1 platforms, and over 30 live games will be broadcast on free TV alone, including all German games and the complete knockout round with quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. The well-known on-air duo of commentator Basti Schwele and expert Rick Goldmann will be on duty at the microphone, and presenter Jana Wosnitza will accompany the broadcasts from the studio. There will also be extensive background reporting around the live games: the daily countdown and analysis broadcasts include current highlights, expert talks, contributions and interviews. In total, SPORT1 will present the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship in over 110 live hours on free TV, meaning there will be an average of 7,5 live hours of ice hockey on the program per match day. The other World Cup matches can be seen on the pay-TV channel SPORT1+ as well as in the free live stream on SPORT1.de and in the SPORT1 apps.
Telekom will also broadcast the Ice Hockey World Cup for the first time from May 13th to 29th, 2022. All games of the German team as well as all knockout games will be shown on both the streaming service MagentaSport and the TV platform MagentaTV. The agreement with Sport1 includes a sublicense with a total of 15 live games.
MagentaSport subscribers can follow the games live via all MagentaSport apps or at magentasport.de. For MagentaTV customers, the World Cup can be seen on channel 319 MyTeamTV Sport (with standard occupancy) at no extra charge.
Ex-national player Ronja Jenike joins the MagentaSport team of experts
With Ronja Jenike, former national player and current DEL expert, a woman is on the team for the Ice Hockey World Cup for the first time. She analyzes the games together with the four-time German champion and ten-time World Cup participant Christoph Ullmann as well as the long-time DEL keeper Patrick Ehelechner. Sascha Bandermann moderates, Alexander Kunz comments on the World Cup broadcasts. There will also be other top-class guests, detailed preliminary reporting, analyzes and live links to the German camp. An extra service at the ParaAll games in the quarterfinals on May 26th: MagentaSport viewers can watch the games individually or in the conference.
