National coach Toni Söderholm will remain primarily responsible for the men's national team at the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund in the long term. V (DEB). The 43-year-old Finn extended his contract by four years until 2026.

He is a widely respected, recognized coach with whom our national players work together in a goal-oriented manner."

Söderholm has been responsible for the since January 01, 2019 DEB-Selection. At its first World Cup in 2019, the team qualified for the quarterfinals and finished sixth. In 2021 we made it to the semi-finals and ended up in 4th place. In 2021 we won DEB-Team with him Deutschland-Cup.
As a player, he took part in three World Championships with Finland and won the silver medal in 2007 with the selection of his home country.
