As was the case at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) is letting sports fans in Germany vote on the flag bearers for the Olympics in Beijing. One thing is already certain: There will be two flag bearers for Team Germany, one female athlete and one male athlete.

This is how the election of the flag bearers for the 2022 Olympics works
Nicht nur die Fans, the athletes themselves can also cast their vote. The votes are each weighted at 50 percent. The DOSB preselected the candidates and paid particular attention to these criteria: sporting successes, role model function, diversity of sport, compatibility of the opening ceremony with the athletes' training and competition program.
