The U18 national team will move into its World Cup quarters during the 2022 IIHF U18 World Championship in Landshut. The games in the German group will therefore be played in the municipal ice stadium on Gutenbergweg.
With Kaufbeuren and Landshut, the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund e. V (DEB) two traditional locations were selected as venues for the U18 World Cup in Germany. From April 21, 2022 to May 1, 2022, the ten best U18 national teams in the world will meet in Germany.
In addition to the reigning world champions from Canada and vice-world champions Russia, Finland, the USA, Switzerland, Latvia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Belarus and host country Germany are taking part in the World Championship.
The final group schedule has not yet been determined, but the World Cup mode has: In the preliminary round, five teams will meet in two groups; everyone plays against everyone. The first four teams reach the playoffs with quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
