Host Karl Schwarzenbrunner, national trainer for science and training at DEB, and his podcast team want to inspire with the conversations, provide new food for thought and inspire listeners with surprising insights.

Every second Friday of the month there is something new for your ears - that's when the latest "COACH THE COACH" episode appears. You can listen to the interviews at Apple podcasts, Spotify, Deezer and Podigee. The guests are top-class, so far the podcast microphone has included national coach Toni Söderholm, Frauke Kubischta, who played a leading role in designing the IIHF's Coaches Development Framework, and ex-national player Marco Sturm.
The episodes are about tangible coaching know-how, real ice hockey insider knowledge or stories from the lives of our ice hockey players. But supposedly taboo topics such as sexual violence are also addressed by host Karl Schwarzenbrunner and his guests. In our latest episode we talk to Frank Wieneke, probably the most successful German judoka. He knows the sport of judo as an active athlete - among other things, Wieneke is an Olympic champion and European champion. He passed on the knowledge from his sports career to subsequent judo generations as coach of the A national squad.
