MagentaSport will show the German games and all games from the quarter-finals at the 20 IIHF U2021 Junior Ice Hockey World Championship in Canada live as a free TV offering. The selection of the German Ice Hockey Federation is one of the ten nations that will determine the title holder in Edmonton from December 25, 2020 to January 5, 2021 under stricter hygiene conditions. With the broadcasts of the U20 World Championship, MagentaSport is supplementing its already extensive ice hockey offering.
U20 World Cup as another highlight

Additionally two preparatory games
Before the U20 World Cup, the German team will play two preparation games, which can also be viewed free of charge on MagentaSport: on December 21st against Austria and on December 23rd in the Czech Republic. On December 25th, the team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter will then start in Group A of the U20 World Cup against Finland. Another opponent in the group stage is the 18-time world champion Canada. As fourth in the group, Germany can qualify for the self-imposed goal of the quarter-finals, which will be played on January 2nd, 2021. The semi-finals follow on January 4th and the finals for the medals the following day.
