National player Nina Kamenik finished on her 35th birthday after 18 years in the jersey of the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) her international career. The striker of the Eisbären Juniors Berlin played a total of 271 international matches, scored 27 goals (42 assists) and represented the DEB including at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Kamenik was also on the ice at six A World Championships and three B World Championships and was part of the team that achieved fourth place in the 2017 World Cup, the best place for the World Cup DEB achieved at a Women's A World Championship.
