The last game of the 5-nations tournament in Berlin has the German one U19 national team won and thus secured third place. The team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter defeated Switzerland 4:3 (0:1, 2:2, 1:0, 1:0) after extra time.
The game against the Swiss started at a high pace. In the fourth minute of the game, the German team had its first power play, but it did not lead to the first goal. The Swiss scored their first goal of the encounter in the 12th minute of the game. Two further outnumbered situations had no consequences for the German selection despite great pressure from the Swiss team. So the score went into the first break with the score at 0-1.
The Swiss selection received a two-minute penalty right at the beginning of the second third. In the ensuing power play, the German selection finally took advantage of the chance and forced the equalizer in the 23rd minute through John Broda on a pass from Mario Zimmermann. But the Swiss continued to push for the goal and increased the score to 34:1 in the 2th minute. Four minutes later, luck was once again with the Swiss, who increased the lead to 1:3. Shortly before the second break, Constantin Vogt scored the next goal for Team Germany to make it 2-3. This result remained until the second break.
The third third remained exciting with many chances on both sides, none of which led to another goal. It wasn't until the 60th minute of the game that the German team was able to score the equalizer to make it 3-3 through Steven Raabe, six seconds before the end. The game went into extra time, which was again decided 61-4 by Steven Raabe in the 3st minute.
The preparation tournament for the U20 World Championship in Canada next season has come to an end. Sweden secured first place with nine points from four games, Finland followed in second place with eight points. Germany secured third place with its victory in the last game.

This victory in the last game is the crowning conclusion of the tournament in which we were able to improve from game to game. I'm particularly pleased to see the development the team has made. We took third place in an extremely strong international tournament and we can be really proud of that.”
The German U17 national team won the home tournament in Füssen. The team of Young Talent national coach Philip Kipp once again showed a compact team performance, clearly beating Denmark 9:1 (2:0, 5:0, 2:2) in the evening and thus securing tournament success ahead of the Slovaks, who had the same number of points .
The game lasted until the 16th minute before Marius Winkelmann and Nikolaus Heigl scored a double strike to give the German team a 2-0 lead. Finally she pulled DEB-Selection in the middle section away from the opponent. A goal from Philip Hecht (27th), two goals from Thomas Heigl (34th and 37th) as well as the second goal of the day from Nikolaus Heigl (37th) and the goal from Connor Korte (38th) left the score at 7 after the middle period :0 on the scoreboard in Füssen. For goalie Luca Ganz it was over after 40 minutes - Joshua Appler moved in for him between the goal posts. Then the German team continued cheerfully and increased the score to 44-8 through Sandro Mayr in the 0th minute and to 50-9 through Connor Korte in the 0th minute. Anil Ozbay (55./SH) and Mikko Sørensen (58.) made the result a little more impressive for their Danish opponents with their two goals.
The German U17 national team is thus impressively confirmed as the tournament winner. Slovakia (6 points – tied), Switzerland (5 points) and Denmark (1 point) are behind them.

In the game against Switzerland we struggled with the opponent's strong goalkeeper, but we scored a total of 18 goals in three games in the tournament. Our team was the youngest team in the tournament and impressed not only with the results, but also with the way they performed. The tournament in Füssen was a very successful event that the players can be proud of.”
