The German U20 national team has the decisive game of the relegation against Kazakhstan gewonnen. The team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter won in the Ostravar Arena with 6:0 (1:0, 4:0, 1:0). Thus secures it DEB-Selection stays in the league and competes at the upcoming 2021 IIHF U20 Ice Hockey World Championships in Edmonton and Red Deer (Canada).
The German team started the game improved, showed good body language in the first half and created chances to score: In the fourth minute, Lukas Reichel appeared free-standing in front of the Kazakh goalie, but was denied by the goalkeeper. Initially the Kazakhs were outnumbered for two minutes, then Nino Kinder, Louis Brune and Justin Schütz took their places in the penalty box one after the other. However, the Kazakhs did not take advantage of the six-minute power play. The DEBThe selection then went on a scoring spree with full team strength. Dominik scored within four minutes Bokk (31st minute), Tim Fleischer (32nd), Lukas Reichel (34th) and Niklas Heinzinger (35th) and made it 5-0 in the third. In the final section she scored DEB-Selection by Eric Mik, so that U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter's team was able to celebrate a 6-0 win and the associated relegation.
