The U16 national team lost their last game at the 4-nation tournament in Slovakia. The team of U16 national coach Thomas Schädler lost to Switzerland 4:2 (4:6, 1:1, 3:1) after a 0:4 lead.
Noah Greuter put the Swiss in front in the 12th minute. However, the German U16 national team managed to equalize in the 19th minute through Luca Hauf. The German team turned the game around in the middle period. Philipp Krening (23rd) and Roman Kechter (26th) took a 2-goal lead. Noah Greuter reduced the score to 31:2 for the Swiss in the 3st minute, but Philipp Krening shot back the old lead shortly before the third break. In the final section she was able to DEBHowever, the selection did not maintain its 2-goal lead over time. Mattheo Reinhard (48th), Andrin Locher (53rd), Jonas Taibel (54th) and Rodwin Dionicio (60th/Empty Net) turned the game around and ultimately allowed the Swiss to celebrate a 6:4 victory.

It's a shame because the team showed a great fighting spirit. Now we have to look forward and prepare for the upcoming tournament in just under a month.”
